“ FOOD/DRINK: 5/5 SERVICE: 5/5 EXPERIENCE: 5/5 I will premise this with that this is a place that you go to every once in a while or on vacation, as it is both expensive and rich food. It was pretty on par with DC pricing imho. It feels like you have stepped into a Lousiana themed bar, in the best way possible. Dark lighting and a slightly eerie feeling really adds to it. We have now been to Voodoo Bayou twice and both times were impeccable. The service is attentive, kind, and even help out with suggestions on the menu. I ordered the blackberry lemonade and it originally got confused with the black magic lemonade, which has alcohol in it. Our server was super apologetic and I get it - they are similarly named. I think they should change one of the names. The lemonade was very refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. Hubby got a guava infused lager, which he really liked. For entrees, I got the fried chicken and biscuit, while hubby got the cajun carbonara. The fried chicken was very crispy and spiced appropriately (read: not spicy), yet very moist! I chose to do all white meat, which an upcharge but very worth it. The biscuit was buttery and luscious. The meal came with hot honey to drizzle over it. Hubby's carbonara was deemed too rich and cheesy so he ate half of my chicken and some of his pasta. Honestly, we could have shared an entree - they were that big!! Now for the REAL reason you come - the beignets!!! The beignets were absolute perfection. Reasonable amount of powdered sugar, pillowy soft, and served warm. Heaven. This is a must order! We will be back but we don't come here every time we come to WPB since we kinda have to be in the mood for it. ”

“ The weather was perfect for an outdoor brunch date. I think if you go to a restaurant and your waitress' name is Kat, you're guaranteed excellent service because this is the second restaurant I had a young lady with that name be my waitress and she was soooo attentive, had great recommendations and just great overall conversation! Now, this is my second time eating here and, once again, the experience was amazing! Cajun meatballs was the appetizer and LET ME TELL YOU: yummy They were served with creamy, delicious grits! Definitely recommend! I had the Creole Mustard Salmon with vegetable white rice and a 4oz. crab cake. My companion had the redfish and bottomless mimosas. She was very satisfied with her meal! I give this restaurant a 12/10!!!! ”

For an appetizer, my husband and I tried the BBQ shrimp, which was very fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced with a garlic and a one of a kind sauce -came out in a skillet. The bread paired with it was perfect. The drinks were equally impressive, with creative, well-balanced cocktails that complemented the meal. Our waitress, Casey, provided outstanding service--attentive, friendly, and efficient. She truly deserves a raise! For dinner, I chose the Cajun ribeye steak, which was beautifully cooked to medium-rare perfection. The steak was seasoned with a bold Cajun spice blend, served with a rich garlic butter sauce, and accompanied by cheesy grits. My husband ordered the shrimp po' boy, which featured crispy fried shrimp, lettuce and tomatoes. He rated it an 8.5/10. Overall, we loved the experience and will definitely be back! ”
